The Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Chocolate Bar Palette sells for $15 at Ulta. In this palette there are 16 shades with a mix of matte, shimmer and textured (pressed glitter) shadows. The matte shades feel on the dry side, however, they applied with a brush surprisingly well. The shimmer and textured shadows were a little more difficult to work with. I tried a dry brush, I tried applying with mac fix plus and had little success…… however, applied with a finger it applied very well….. If you have any questions about application with this palette please let me know.
The look above is strictly from this palette. I have purchased some very expensive palettes with shimmer and textured shadows that had to be applied with the fingers. I have to say that even though difficult to apply, the outcome is beautiful, and these worked better than some of my more expensive ones (to be revealed in a post coming soon lol)!
Overall, for fifteen dollars I am very happy with the way this performs. If you are ok with the challenge of application on the shimmer and textured shadows I say definitely give this a try. I have really been loving Makeup Revolutions eyeshadows lately. If you are not into the textured shadows, check out my review of the Makeup Revolution Reloaded Iconic Newtrals 2 Palette here.
Have you used this palette? What are your thoughts and tips for application?
